45th Annual Club Championships

Sunday 9th September Club members gathered at the club ground at The Elmbridge, Hainault, Essex. for the 45th Annual Club Championships.
The rounds for the day were York/Hereford and Bristols.
The weather was fine.
Angela Devlin made a wonderful 45th Birthday cake plus cakes and pastries and Charlie Barnes made a tasty Lime Cheesecake.
Shooting after lunch was much slower!

A great days shooting with lots of fun and to cap the day Andrew Devlin was presented with his AAS Gold Badge by the Club Chairman Mrs Joan Ikel.

2008. The Fairlop Oak Longbow Meeting has been granted UK Record Status and is on the 21st June 2008 @ The Elmbridge Club Grounds, Hainault, Essex. Entry forms are available from Mrs J. Ikel. 26 Gantshill Crescent, ILFORD. Essex. IG2 6TU. At the same time we are putting on a Bare Bow shoot alongside same rounds they are National-Short National-Junior National-Short Junior National.

2008. The Western Shoot will be on the Saturday 31st August 2008 @ The Elmbridge Club, Hainault. Essex. Entry forms are available from Mrs J. Ikel. 26 Gantshill Crescent. ILFORD. Essex. IG2 6TU.

We have been advised that our club pin badges have been posted on ebay as a most sought-after badge (Limited Edition) this is not true there is no limit to how many can be purchased.

If any one would like one of the badges they can be purchased from the club for the fee of £5 each plus P&P

Site redesign underway

After nearly 8 years, the Oakfield Archers website is now having a complete overhaul. As many of you will have noticed that site was rarely updated and in some places held incorrect contact details.

The site is now undergoing a major rewrite with WordPress and (hopefully) phpBB at its core to not only provide up to date content but also an online meeting place for club members.

Please bear with us whilst we are in this transition period. In the meantime, website questions should be addressed to the site admin. General club questions can still be sent via e-mail or by calling 020 8551 1074 during office hours or early evening/weekends.
